Experiential Learning

This course provides students with an understanding of teaching using realia, demonstrations, simulations, and agriscience activities. Students will learn to incorporate hands-on activities, demonstrations, simulations, and realia into their classroom teaching to achieve engaged and differentiated learning. Students will learn how experiential learning differs from conventional classroom teaching and learning. Students will learn how reflection activities can enhance skill and knowledge acquisition at a deeper level of understanding. Students will complete 10 hours of observational learning through the lens of experiential learning within partner school-based agricultural education programs and programming.
