Description

This course provides a survey of microorganism roles in agricultural production systems, including the role of microorganisms in soil nutrient transformations and soil health, food preservation methods and safety protocols, ruminant digestion, and feed storage. Special emphasis will be placed on biological amendments used in agricultural production.Pre-requisite(s): BIOL 1107 and BIOL 1107L with a minimum grade of C.
