Overview
Description
This course includes identifying and managing insect pests in agricultural settings in the Southeastern United States. It emphasizes Integrated Pest Management utilizing environmentally sound techniques, including biological, genetic, cultural, physical, and chemical methods. Students learn how to combine the different pest management strategies to lower the insect pest populations to tolerable levels. Prerequisite(s): A minimum grade of C in the following courses: AGRP 1125, BIOL 1107, and BIOL 1107L.
