Description

This course offers an exploration of the concepts and practices of greenhouse and nursery management. Students will have the opportunity to apply the knowledge gained from lectures in a greenhouse. This course provides hands-on experience in the areas of plant propagation, greenhouse and nursery facilities planning and operation, soils, fertilizers, crop scheduling, marketing, etc. The principles of plant biology, chemistry, physics, and agricultural engineering will be applied to gain knowledge of the fundamentals of greenhouse and nursery production and management. Pre-requisite(s): HORT 2201 with a minimum grade of C.
