Limnology

This course examines the chemical and physical characteristics of freshwater systems including lakes, reservoirs, rivers, streams, and wetlands. The hydrologic cycle, environmental threats, and community ecological interactions will also be covered. Students will gain field experience performing abiotic measurements, learning about aquatic sampling, and identifying organisms important to these systems.
