Plant Pathology

An introduction to the principles and concepts of phytopathology. These topics will include: historical impact of plant diseases, microbial biology and life cycles for the various classes of organisms that cause plant diseases, disease development, environmental interactions, and disease control strategies. Emphasis will be placed on broad concepts rather than diagnosis and control of specific diseases. Laboratory exercises will augment topics covered in the lecture.<br><br>Prerequisite: BIOL 2070 with a minimum grade of C. Three hours of lecture and three hours of lab each week.
