Small Business Accounting

This course focuses on explores the financial management tools required for small business, with emphasis on the practical and tax aspects. Topics include business entity choices, use of accounting software, budgeting, and tax planning. Students will use QuickBooks accounting software extensively throughout the course and will be prepared to take the QuickBooks Certification examination, should they choose to do so.<br><br>Prerequisite: ACCT 2101 or AECO 2200 with a minimum grade of C.
