Small Business Management

Prerequisite: Completion of 72 hours towards the BS Business degree, ACCT 3200 or AECO 3430, MKTG 2175 or AECO 2260, and MGMT 2600 or AECO 1150 with a minimum grade of C. A course focused on the unique challenge of managing and growing small and/or family businesses. Topics include financing the small business, the use of accounting as a management tool, work force management, legal constraints of interest to small businesses, the development of realistic marketing plans, and the effect of new technologies.
